At the beginning of class today: Cristal, Gatito, Abi, and Brian...please go round up the sound equipment that is still in the Haunted House. We are missing 1 speaker box, the mixing board & amp from the shop, and the speakers kit from the green room. You may need to ask Mrs. Galindo to open some doors for you. Please put the equipment in the band room and I will put it away when I get to school this afternoon.
What were some of your experiences? What went really well? What needs to be improved for next year? What ideas do you have to improve the experience of working with the drama department?

+ With using only sound instead of projections we give the actors a lot more flexibility in terms of their spaces because they are not lit up.
- We need portable speakers for each room to connect to the iPads NOT the boom boxes (given our issue with new v. old technology). We also need more aux cords.
? Maybe we need to brown slip music tech students to operate sound throughout the haunted house instead of relying on when people have their lunches.
We will be making ONE track per person this time so all you need to create is a short 59 second piece of music that is winter themed. Please stay away from music that is religious in nature and feel free to use instrumental versions of pieces to create a remix. Keep in mind these song will play through winter break so we better enjoy listening to them every day!
These pieces will be due at the end of next week (Thursday) and then we move on to new music editing software after the 3-day weekend...time to play with iPads and start learning some DJ software. :)
